Learn with George aims to make private data analytics tutoring clear, practical and straightforward. This page explains how we handle your information, what to expect when booking lessons, and how cancellations or schedule changes are handled.

1.1 Who is responsible for your information

1.2 Information we collect
When you apply, we collect information you provide, including your name, email address, WhatsApp number, country of residence, selected programme, experience level, learning goals, preferred lesson frequency, availability and preferred lesson times. We may also retain relevant messages, class attendance and learning or project submissions where necessary to deliver tutoring.
Our website and service providers may process basic technical information, such as device and usage information, for security, operation and analytics. When you pay, your transaction is handled through an external secure checkout provider. We receive payment status and the details needed to match your payment to your application; we do not ask you to enter payment-card details into our application form.
1.3 How and why we use information
We use your details to assess and respond to applications, arrange and deliver lessons, verify enrolment and payment, send class links and updates, provide learning support, manage requests or disputes, maintain appropriate business records, and secure and improve our website.
Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, the basis will normally be taking steps at your request before a contract, performing our tutoring agreement, complying with legal obligations, and, where appropriate, our legitimate interests in running and protecting the service. We will seek separate consent where the law requires it, including for any optional promotional messages.
1.4 WhatsApp communication and group privacy
A working WhatsApp number is required because we use WhatsApp for practical class communication, lesson schedules, reminders, joining links and tutoring updates. Some updates may be shared in a class or programme WhatsApp group. If you join a group, other members may be able to see your phone number and the name or profile information you show on WhatsApp. We will explain the group arrangement before adding you. Please contact us if you would prefer class information sent to you individually on WhatsApp.
1.5 Service providers and international processing
We use service providers to operate our website, receive applications, process payments, communicate with learners and understand website use. These providers may process information in different countries. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers. We do not sell applicant or learner information.
1.6 How long we keep your information
We keep application information while responding to your enquiry and processing your application. If you enrol, we retain relevant teaching and administrative records while delivering your programme and afterward only where reasonably necessary for learner support, resolving disputes or meeting legal obligations.
We retain payment and accounting records for periods required by applicable law.
We periodically review the personal information we hold and delete or anonymise information that is no longer needed. The length of retention depends on the type of information, the reason it was collected and any applicable legal requirements.

1.7 Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to obtain information about your data, access it, correct it, request deletion or restriction, object to certain uses, or withdraw consent where consent is relied on. 1.8 Security, external links and updates
We take reasonable steps to protect application records and limit access to those who need it. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Our website may link to external payment or interactive-learning services; their own policies apply when you use them. We may update this notice when our services or legal responsibilities change, and will show the latest effective date.

2.1 The service
Learn with George offers online private, one-to-one tutoring in Microsoft Excel, SQL and Power BI, as well as a combined Data Analytics programme. Shared sessions for friends or small teams are available only where separately arranged. We do not advertise scheduled group cohorts.
2.2 Schedule and duration
Our standard arrangement is typically two live sessions each week, lasting approximately 60–90 minutes per session. A one-session-per-week arrangement may be agreed; in that case, the calendar duration is longer. Lesson days and times are agreed individually and are not confirmed until communicated after payment verification.
Excel and Power BI normally involve four teaching weeks, Week 5 independent capstone work, and a Week 6 presentation. SQL normally involves four teaching weeks followed by a final project/submission in Week 5 without a formal presentation. The combined programme follows an individually agreed schedule.
2.3 Applications and enrolment
The application form lets us collect your preferred programme and availability. After submitting the form, you continue directly to secure checkout to complete payment for your chosen programme. Enrolment is confirmed once the payment has been verified and we have agreed the practical lesson arrangements with you. We normally contact you through WhatsApp with joining details and next steps.
2.4 Prices and payment
Current programme prices are displayed in Nigerian naira (NGN) on the Private Tutoring page and are confirmed at checkout. International learners may be offered supported currencies and payment methods by the checkout provider; the final amount, any applicable conversion and processing charges are shown during checkout. A future price change will not change a programme fee already paid and accepted unless we agree otherwise with you.
2.5 Participation and learning materials
Please attend sessions on time, maintain a suitable internet connection and device, complete assigned practice where possible, and communicate scheduling difficulties promptly. We provide practical exercises and guidance; progress depends on engagement and practice. We cannot guarantee employment, certification or a specific career outcome.
Course notes, exercises, datasets, class links and project materials are supplied for your personal learning. Please do not redistribute, sell, publicly post or record live sessions without permission. Work you create remains yours, subject to any third-party dataset or software licence conditions.
2.6 WhatsApp class communication
WhatsApp is our primary channel for class arrangements, learning links, updates and relevant support. One-to-one tutoring remains private even where general administrative updates are sent through a class WhatsApp group. Please respect the privacy of other learners and do not share their contact details or group messages outside the group without permission.
2.7 Adjustments and availability
Lesson days and times may be adjusted by mutual agreement. If a learner needs to pause or postpone their programme, we can agree on a new start or continuation date via WhatsApp, subject to availability. Lessons already completed remain completed, and paid lessons not yet delivered can be resumed from the agreed point. There is no additional tuition charge simply for resuming the same remaining lessons. If Learn with George cannot deliver the purchased tutoring or an appropriate replacement, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law, which may include a refund.
2.8 Refunds and cancellation rights
Our standard policy is not to offer discretionary refunds for voluntary cancellations or withdrawals where applicable law permits.
If you need to delay the start of your programme or pause lessons that have already begun, you may request to postpone or resume your remaining lessons under our Refunds & Rescheduling Policy.
This policy does not restrict any cancellation, refund or other consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Refunds & Rescheduling Policy
A clear and fair process. Here's what happens before and after lessons begin, and how to change a session.
Before the first session
Fees aren't refunded for a voluntary change of mind, but if you can't start on the agreed date we'll agree a new start date — no need to pay again.
After lessons begin
If you need to pause, completed sessions stay completed and we'll agree a date to resume your remaining lessons.
Rescheduling a lesson
Message us on WhatsApp at least 24 hours before the agreed start time and we'll agree a replacement, subject to availability.
Missed sessions or tutor changes
A no-show or late change may count as used, with fair consideration for genuine emergencies. If we change a lesson, we arrange a replacement at no extra charge.
Our no-voluntary-refunds policy never overrides refund or cancellation rights that applicable consumer law makes mandatory.
Full refunds & rescheduling policy
3.1 Our standard refund policy
Learn with George does not normally offer discretionary refunds when a learner changes their mind, decides not to begin or voluntarily withdraws from a programme, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Instead, learners may request a new starting date or arrange to pause and resume lessons they have not yet received, subject to our rescheduling terms.
Any statutory cancellation period, refund entitlement or other mandatory consumer protection takes priority over this policy.
Please review your programme details, fees and availability carefully before making payment.
3.2 If you cannot start on the agreed date
If circumstances prevent you from starting on your agreed date, please contact us on WhatsApp as soon as possible. Rather than cancelling your place, we can agree on a different date to begin. Your existing payment remains allocated to the programme you selected; you do not need to pay again merely because the start date has been rearranged. A new date will be agreed based on your availability and the tutor's availability.
3.3 If you need to pause after tutoring begins
If you have already attended some sessions and need to pause, let us know through WhatsApp. We can agree on a suitable date to resume the lessons you have not yet received. Sessions already delivered remain completed; your learning resumes from the point at which it stopped. A pause does not automatically guarantee the same weekday or time slot when you return. We will confirm revised arrangements with you.
3.4 Rescheduling an individual lesson
Please request a lesson change at least 24 hours before the agreed start time by messaging us on WhatsApp. We will work with you to agree a replacement time, subject to availability. Multiple changes may extend the overall programme duration. This is a rescheduling arrangement, not a refund.
3.5 Late changes, missed sessions and emergencies
If you miss a scheduled lesson without giving notice, or request a change less than 24 hours before it starts, that reserved session may count as used. We recognise that genuine emergencies and unforeseen technical problems can happen. Tell us as soon as reasonably possible, and we will consider the circumstances fairly and decide whether an alternative session can be arranged.
3.6 If Learn with George needs to change a lesson
If we need to reschedule an agreed lesson, we will arrange a replacement without additional tuition charges. If we are unable to provide the tutoring you purchased or a suitable replacement, we will discuss an appropriate solution with you and honour any remedy, including any refund, required by applicable law.
3.7 Rights that cannot be excluded by this policy
This policy sets out our normal business approach to voluntary cancellations, but it does not take away any cancellation, refund or service-quality rights guaranteed by applicable consumer law. Depending on the law relevant to your booking, an online tutoring service may be subject to a statutory cancellation period or other remedies. Where the law requires a refund, that legal requirement takes priority over our standard no-voluntary-refunds policy. If lessons are requested to start during a legally applicable cooling-off period, we will obtain any express request or acknowledgement required by law and explain any permitted charges for services already provided.
3.8 How to request postponement, rescheduling or help

For any formal rights-based cancellation or complaint, you may also use the official email address listed on the website. Please do not send card numbers or sensitive payment-account details through WhatsApp.
